I wanted to test different types of fabric to see how they would react within a system imagined for an outdoor canopy structure. I needed something that would have a free-flowing aesthetic that could still be dictated and function under tension. Using nails, I could mimic the real structure and simulate the movement of the canopy by twisting the nails and moving the bolts.
