We decided to look at four different airport models, American, Chinese, European, and Japanese. By comparing these typologies and international and national styles, we could compare the core, zone, and district scales of various land use percentages and ratios.
We have defined the core as the airport buildings and related infrastructure, the zone as the airport "airside," landscaping, military bases, and other aviation activities, and finally, the district as what arose after the airport and the area adjacent to the airport zone that the airport is servicing.
