Selected for Accreditation and Published in “CityWorks”; Professor Lior Galili
The purpose of this project was to delve deep into the site and analyze the pre-existing context of where we would be placing our market. My design was planned in correlation to the urban fabric, as well as a means of trying to enhance certain already present characteristics. Seeing as though Sunnyside Gardens is a low-income housing community, my market’s goal was to “humanize housing” through the ever-present Hispanic community and its ideals.
