In a world of typological cross-fertilization where disease dictates design, we find a nomadic city of wayfarers always in motion. Stavrostopia is devoid of social status, disparities in resource distribution, and geographic limitations.
With the pandemic redefining our event and movement in space, we wanted to “strive by way of concept to transcend the concept.” Looking at the city's existing fabric and theorizing how to maintain and even elevate some of these connections, motion is a key component of the city. Stavrostopia is something of a cross or “Stavros” between a utopia and a dystopia.
